One gummy, daily.
Chew a single ChUV gummy each morning. Eleven milligrams of astaxanthin and five point five milligrams of lycopene go to work.

ChUV is the first tanning gummy. A natural, warm glow from clinically-dosed astaxanthin and lycopene. No UV. No beta carotene.
11mg astaxanthin. 5.5mg lycopene.
Two carotenoids that stack in your skin and bring out a warm, sun-kissed tone.
A glow that doesn’t wash off.
Carotenoids accumulate in skin tissue. One gummy a day is all it takes.
Christian Absher · FounderFrom the founder
I built CAYO Nutra because the supplement aisle is full of carotenoid products that promise warmth and deliver carrot-orange instead. ChUV is our answer. Clinically-studied astaxanthin and lycopene, zero beta carotene, zero hype.
We launched ChUV as the first tanning gummy built around clinically-dosed astaxanthin and lycopene instead of beta carotene. Every batch is third-party tested for heavy metals, microbial safety, and potency before it ships.

Read our storyHow ChUV works
Chew a single ChUV gummy each morning. Eleven milligrams of astaxanthin and five point five milligrams of lycopene go to work.
Your gut pulls both pigments into circulation. They reach skin tissue and accumulate layer by layer.
Over 4-8 weeks, a warm sun-kissed tone appears. Real pigment, not a paint job. No orange.
The Formula
ChUV pairs astaxanthin and lycopene at the doses the clinical literature actually uses. Both are sourced, tested, and dosed for real skin outcomes.
Photoprotective carotenoid
11mg
per gummy
from Haematococcus pluvialis
A red xanthophyll sourced from freshwater microalgae. Astaxanthin deposits in skin tissue, quenches UV-driven oxidative stress, and supports elasticity, moisture, and wrinkle resilience in human trials.
Balancing carotenoid
5.5mg
per gummy
from non-GMO tomatoes
The red pigment in ripe tomatoes. Lycopene balances astaxanthin’s warmth for a neutral, natural tone and adds documented UV photoprotection.
Clinical evidence
Ito et al., Nutrients 2018
Astaxanthin 4 mg/day for 9 weeks preserved moisture and suppressed wrinkle formation under UV exposure.
Tominaga et al., Acta Biochim Pol 2012
Astaxanthin 6 mg/day improved skin elasticity, wrinkles, and moisture in human trials.
Heinrich et al., J Nutr 2003
Oral carotenoid mix (incl. lycopene) over 12 weeks reduced UV-induced erythema vs. placebo.
Zero beta carotene. Zero canthaxanthin. Zero artificial dyes. See why we refuse them.
Inside the jar
Hover or tap any callout to see what astaxanthin and lycopene do in the body beyond skin color.

Astaxanthin sits across the cell membrane with its polar ends in water and its lipid core in the bilayer. That quirk lets it quench free radicals in places most carotenoids cannot reach, including the pockets where UV-driven lipid peroxidation starts.

Sourcing + Testing
We source both actives from their most-studied natural origin. Then every batch is third-party tested for heavy metals, microbial safety, and potency before it hits a gummy.

Cultivated freshwater microalgae
Oleoresin, cold-chain stabilized
The only astaxanthin source with the pigment-protein matrix used in human clinical trials. Yeast-derived synthetic astaxanthin does not behave the same in skin.

Non-GMO tomato extract
Fruit-body concentrate, solvent-free
Tomato-derived lycopene outperforms synthetic on absorption. Solvent-free extraction keeps the cis-isomer ratio your body can actually use.
Third-party tested
Heavy metals
Every batch tested for lead, arsenic, cadmium, and mercury against USP <232> limits.
Microbial safety
Total plate count, yeast, mold, E. coli, and Salmonella screened on every incoming lot.
Potency assay
HPLC verification that the astaxanthin and lycopene doses on the label match the gummy.
Identity + purity
Certificate of analysis on every raw material. No adulterants, no undeclared fillers.
The Anti-Orange Principle
Most tanning supplements use beta carotene. At supplement doses it produces carotenodermia, an unnatural yellow-orange cast. ChUV uses astaxanthin and lycopene for a warm, natural tone instead.
Unnatural yellow-orange discoloration.
A natural warm glow.
The Timeline
Scrub through eight weeks on ChUV. Pigment saturation, biology, and the moment the shift becomes visible, week by week.
Serum carotenoid levels rising. Antioxidant activity active.
Astaxanthin and lycopene enter systemic circulation and begin to deposit in dermal tissue. You will not see the shift yet. The biology is running underneath.
11mg
Astaxanthin daily
5.5mg
Lycopene daily
7days
Consistent dosing
Built around the clinical-study window. The shift is gradual on purpose: the color reads natural because it builds like a real tan.

Questions, answered
Most people notice a warm tone by week 3-4, with full results at 8 weeks on one gummy daily.
Yes. Carotenoid pigmentation is a well-documented pathway. ChUV uses astaxanthin and lycopene, both clinically studied for skin coloration.
No. ChUV uses astaxanthin and lycopene at measured doses for a natural warm tone. Beta carotene is the ingredient that causes orange discoloration, and we refuse to use it.
Astaxanthin offers real internal photoprotection by neutralizing UV-induced free radicals at the cellular level. For prolonged outdoor exposure, pair ChUV with topical SPF. Think of them as complementary.
You don't need the sun to tan with ChUV. Carotenoid pigmentation deposits astaxanthin and lycopene directly into dermal tissue, producing a warm tone without UV. Sun exposure makes the effect richer. Astaxanthin and lycopene are photoprotective antioxidants, so pairing ChUV with moderate sun yields a deeper, more saturated tan than either alone.
Yes. ChUV is made in a GMP-certified facility in the USA, contains no artificial dyes, and is formulated at doses supported by clinical literature.
Generally yes. Astaxanthin and lycopene are fat-soluble, so take ChUV with a meal that contains some healthy fat for best absorption.
Most tanning gummies rely on beta carotene, which produces an unnatural orange cast at supplement doses. ChUV stacks clinically-studied astaxanthin and lycopene for a natural warm tone.
ChUV is vegan, non-GMO, gluten-free, and free of the major allergens. See the full supplement facts panel on the product page.

Most people see a first noticeable warmth in weeks 3-4 and full tone expression by week 6-8. Carotenoid pigmentation is cumulative, so consistent daily use matters more than dose stacking.
Yes. Carotenoid accumulation is gradual, and so is the fade. Daily use keeps your tone consistent.
